A Tibetan looks at sunrise at a camp located 11,155 feet above sea level on Mount Fuji, west of Tokyo, on Aug. 22. Some 50 Tibetans, Mongolians and Japanese made a pilgrimage to Japan’s highest peak to pray for world peace and the freedom of Tibetans and other ethinic minorities in China on the 50th anniversary of Tibet’s uprising against communist Chinese.
